It is a dicotyledonous, angiosperm, evergreen plant that can grow up to 20m tall.
The leaves are simple, elliptical with acute apex and entire margin. The surface is smooth and hairless.
Flowers are white, bisexual, with strong fragrance. Floral parts are arranged spirally. They bloom in early summer.
It is hard to see its fruits, and we have no records of them. The plants are propagated vegetatively by air layering or stem cuttings.
