It is a cultivated shrub up to 3 m tall, with unarmed or spiny, often drooping or trailing branches.
The leaves are grown in opposite. They are yellow green in colour, elliptic or oval in shape, 2.5 - 5.1 cm long, with entired and toothed margin in the upper half.
There is no record for the flowers and the fruits.
