History Enhancement Activity 2018-2019: A visit to Tai Kwun

Aim:Let's student learn more about the heritage of the historic Central Police Station compound.

Description:

The students understood the heritage offerings include eight designated heritage storytelling spaces, featured corridors and passageways with heritage-related stories, as well as over 20 Tai Kwun Tales, Building Histories.

Things to see: The historic Central Police Station compound—the former Central Police Station, Central Magistracy and Victoria Prison—a one-stop approach for law and order.

Aim:Let's student learn more about the life of the villagers and culture in rural HK

Description:

Under the explanation of the guider, the students experienced the living environment
Of Tsuen Long Village, understood the lifestyle of the villagers there and acknowledged the culture, the change and development of rural area in HK

Things to see: The village houses, the facilities, small shops, small traditional restaurant, farmlands,
Stream, craftwork made by the villagers, recreation of some artifacts made by the modern artists and the Ancestral hall of the village .

History Enhancement Activity 2011-2012: A Visit to St. Stephenˇ¦s College Heritage Trail in Stanley

Aim: To enhance studentsˇ¦ knowledge about local history

Description: St. Stephen's College is a famous local secondary school that has a long and rich history in Hong Kong. It was set up in 1903 and is now classified as a Grade II Historical Building.

Things to see: Special colonial styles of school buildings, historical sites and cultural artifacts

Others: Traffic by coach and cost partly subsidized; each student would get a souvenir

Target students: F.1 & F.3 outstanding students ( F.2 students on the waiting list )
